'Britain's most tattooed mum' claims that her tattoos have caused her some trouble over the years, sharing that they've lost her invitations to weddings - and even allegedly her own mother's funeral.

Melissa Sloan, 47, from Wales, believes that she has around 800 inkings on her skin, and says that her prison-style tatts have meant she's missed out on plenty of important occasions. The hardcore woman gets three-to-four new designs each week, and this has meant that she's been excluded from things purposefully, and also has allegedly been called a "freak" as she walked down the street.

Despite experiencing frequent ostracisation, Melissa always had her mother to rely on no matter how many tattoos she had on her body. However, after her mum passed away in 2020, her circle became smaller, and she even claimed that she'd been refused from funerals and weddings because of the way she looks, reports the Daily Star.

She says people's opinions of her tattoos are often "backwards", and that's why she has "no friends." "I definitely think my tattoos mean that I don't have friends", she admitted, saying that she thinks that people assume she "has a screw loose" because of the number of inkings she has on her body.

Despite being shunned from her own mother's funeral and wake, Melissa believes her mum would've been proud of what her daughter achieved concerning her unique look, despite the fact she's only in contact with two of her seven children. "I wasn't even allowed to go to my mum's funeral because of the way I look", Melissa claimed, saying that "all of the relatives" didn't want her there thanks to her tattoos - which she thinks is unfair.

However, despite the fact many of her family have shunned her, Melissa says her mum would be "really proud" of what she's doing, saying: "People said I wouldn't get anywhere, but look at me now."
