King Charles's 'sweetest moment' captured with Prince Louis in touching exchange
Royal fans are gushing over an adorable moment shared between Prince Louis and King Charles III - as footage of the pair during Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations has resurfaced on TikTok.
Louis, 5, is the youngest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and has been spotted at several royal engagements in the last two years, including the King’s Coronation, with his older brother and sister Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 8. Louis, although just 5-years-old, is currently fourth in line for the throne.
Royal fans and experts have noticed the prince’s sweet relationship with his grandfather, who he has honoured in his middle name of "Charles". The pair have been photographed together over the years, but a special moment captured during Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee pageant in London in 2022 inspired a deluge of viral posts and videos online.
Uploaded to TikTok by user walesroyaledits on February 12, the latest of these features a resurfaced clip of Louis happily sitting on his grandfather's knee during the three-hour event. In the clip, Prince William asks his father if Louis can switch seats to be on his knee, to which Charles nods in agreement. The king, who was at the time still the Prince of Wales, was pictured rocking his grandson to the tune of the playing music.
The video, captioned "so cute together!" has garnered over 350,000 views on the app so far with 31,000 likes and numerous comments from royal enthusiasts praising the monarch and his bond with the young prince. "This is just the sweetest moment between little Louis and his grandpa king," wrote one TikTok user. “They're so cute," posted another, while a further comment read: "For someone—a king, and for someone—a grandfather."
