Taylor Swift has remained deafeningly silent following the deadly Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade shooting that has left one fan dead.
This year Taylor has drawn attention from football fans everywhere as she has often been displayed on the jumbotron at the NFL games and was even featured in a Super Bowl advertisement alongside Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. As the 34-year-old singer has become a symbol for the team’s red jerseys and NFL football in recent months, many fans were disappointed that she has chosen to remain silent following the tragic event.
On February 14th a deadly shooting broke out during a Super Bowl parade in Kansas City leaving a mom dead and 21 people injured, including eight children. The shooting began just after 2 p.m. when the parade kicked off. Videos from the scene show people screaming and running for cover as multiple shots were fired one after another during the victory celebration. Since then, two armed armed suspects have been taken into custody.

The NFL star wrote: "I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today. My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected," and added: "KC, you mean the world to me."
While some were upset at Taylor's silence over the heartbreaking incident, others shared a more concerned take for the singer. Following the event many Swifties shared their fears that the shooting could've been an assassination attempt targeted at superstar. Some theorize that this was a targeted attack on the singer after MAGA conspiracy theories claimed she was working with the Democrats to "rig" the Super Bowl outcome.
Fans took to X following the shooting with one writing: "Why hasn't Taylor Swift commented on the shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs' celebraion?" While another theorized: "I bet this is related to unhinged folks who have been incited by Republicans due to #TravisKelce and #TaylorSwift relationship! Nuts." And a third wrote: "Just a thought, but, based on past experience, anyone else think the hatred/ignorance shown to Taylor Swift/Kelce & KC Chiefs & NFL over FOX and #MAGA for past weeks has a connection to shooting in KC today during the parade? It's pure #CULT behavior."
