Corrie's Katie McGlynn and TOWIE star spark engagement rumours with mystery ring
Katie McGlynn and Ricky Rayment sparked engagement rumours shortly before confirming their romance on Wednesday, thanks a big sparkly ring on the former soap star's left hand.
Ricky, who is best known for appearing on The Only Way is Essex, has reportedly been dating the 30-year-old actress for four months, with the pair very smitten and love-up. It looked like the reality TV star may have already popped the question earlier this week, thanks to Katie being spotted with a big diamond on her ring finger on Valentine's Day.
The former Coronation Street star made no attempt to hide the sparkler on the fourth finger of her left hand on Wednesday, as she and Ricky popped to the shops in matching tracksuits ahead of going Instagram official later that day.

However, her team quickly shut down rumours a wedding is being planning, with a spokesperson for Katie telling the publication: "Katie often wears rings on various fingers and moves her jewellery around."
Katie, 30, took to Instagram on Valentine's Day and shared a series of photos with Ricky, 33, as she revealed their romance to fans. The caption read: "Every day is like Valentine's Day with you." The snaps included one of them sharing a kiss, another of them posing in a swimming pool, and some of them at an event and in what seemed to be a restaurant.

This comes after they were seen kissing in Essex over the weekend. They looked cheerful while shopping, as shown in photos published by the Sun this week. A source told the outlet that Katie and Ricky "very much looked like" a couple. The source added that they were holding hands, "having a laugh", and even shared a "little kiss". The onlooker speculated that Ricky might have bought Katie an early Valentine's gift as he was seen carrying a bag from Hotel Chocolat. The source said that the pair "looked really happy together".
They met in early October and have stayed chummy since then. A source spilled the beans: "Katie and Ricky are really loved up. They've been careful to keep things low key while they got to know each other. But they've got to the point where they don't care who sees them anymore."
Between 2012 to 2015, Ricky was a usual face on TOWIE. He previously dated former co-star Jess Wright and Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson during his time on the ITVBe reality show. Katie is best known for playing Sinead Tinker on Coronation Street. She was on the ITV soap from 2013 to 2020 and left as part of a storyline where Sinead got cancer. She went on to appear on Strictly Come Dancing the following year.
