Piers Morgan's gruesome and violent Harry and Meghan remarks spark Ofcom fury

Piers Morgan Uncensored viewers were not impressed after the host used violent language when discussing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The TalkTV show received a total of 95 complaints with regards to Piers' programme which aired on February 7. During Uncensored, Piers shared his opinion on Prince William's relationship with his brother Harry and his wife Meghan Markle following the news of King Charles' cancer diagnosis.

At one point, Piers said, of Harry and Meghan: "What I would do if one of my family, one of my siblings has spent the last few years trashing the family on television, trashed me, my wife, trashed my dad's wife, trashed my dad... And so on... I would dismember them one limb at a time. And after I'd severed all their limbs I would probably incinerate them."

Piers' guest James Barr hit out at the host over his violent language but the former Good Morning Britain presenter refused to back down. "How can you be surprised? I'm the devil, that's what devils do," he quipped before adding: "I mean metaphorically. What I mean is I'd be utterly enraged."

Viewers were shocked by Piers' rant, as one viewer wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, at the time: "Why not concentrate on the fact that the King of England has cancer instead of spending time bashing Prince Harry and Meghan? Not once did I hear Piers say he was wishing the King a recovery."

Another added: "Piers Morgan is crying that he wants to dismember Prince Harry. You ever see those extractions that people pull out of their ears? That's Piers - a big thick piece of flesh that's basically decay inside of a pore of a human's skin."

The Duke of Sussex flew to the UK last week after Buckingham Palace announced King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer and would be starting treatment immediately. The Duke of Sussex enjoyed a brief trip to his former home country, in which he visited his father before returning home to the US where he lives with his wife Meghan and their two children.

The visit lasted just 26 hours and Harry did not meet with his brother William during this time. Piers comments came as the panel discussed whether Harry should have used his brief trip to the UK to help mend bridges with his brother.

Royal officials revealed last Monday that Charles has been diagnosed with a form of cancer and has begun treatment. Here is the statement from Buckingham Palace in full: "During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.

"His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.

"The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.

"His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.”
