Man Utd consider Victor Lindelof swap deal as Marcus Rashford slammed
Manchester United are enjoying an excellent 2024 so far, with Erik ten Hag's side currently unbeaten so far this year.
They now sit just six points behind Tottenham Hotspur in the race to qualify for next season's Champions League, having picked up an important 2-1 win over top four rivals Aston Villa on Sunday thanks to goals from Rasmus Hojlund and Scott McTominay.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe's proposed purchase of a 25 per cent stake in the club has now been approved by the Premier League, but still needs to be signed off by the FA. The deal will see the Ineos chief take control of the sporting side of the club and the FA could give their approval in the coming days.
United are set to return to action next weekend when they take on Luton Town at Kenilworth Road and, with all that in mind, here's a round-up of the latest news from Old Trafford.

According to reports from Italy, United are set to revisit their interest in Benjamin Pavard next summer and could use Victor Lindelof as a bargaining chip.

Pavard was linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer, but ultimately ended up joining Inter Milan instead. However, it is claimed that United remain interested in signing the versatile defender and would be willing to offer Lindelof to Inter in an attempt to sweeten the deal.
United have triggered an option to extend Lindelof's contract until 2025, but that was only to protect his value in the transfer market. The report adds that he is likely to be sold in the summer whether the deal for Pavard goes through or not, with several Saudi Pro League clubs interested in his services.

Richard Keys has accused Marcus Rashford of diving to win United the free-kick which ultimately led to their opening goal against Villa on Sunday.
"Of course Casemiro was off-side from the free-kick that led to the corner - that led to the goal! BeinSPORTS viewers knew that on Sunday when Andy and I pointed it out. The assistant should’ve seen it. Casemiro made himself active when he challenged for the ball," Keys wrote in his blog.
"There was no way VAR could get involved though because the incident didn’t lead immediately to the goal. It was never a free-kick mind you. Having worked Fernandes out referees have got to be as strong with Rashford now. He should’ve been booked for diving, not rewarded for his cheating."

The club have apologised to club legend Norman Whiteside after he was among a number of United season ticket holders who have been forced out of their regular seat at Old Trafford.
Whiteside spent 11 years at the club as a player and has held a platinum season ticket for more than 25 years. However, the club relocated him for the West Ham game which prompted Whiteside's wife to hit out on social media.
In response, a spokesperson said : "We have the greatest respect for Norman as a legend of the club, and understand the disappointment caused to him and other season ticket-holders by seat relocations. We are committed to working with all season ticket-holders affected by relocations, including Norman, to find them the best possible alternative seats elsewhere in the ground."
