Patrick Mahomes, the star quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, had to break the news to his teammate Mecole Hardman that they'd won Super Bowl LVIII.

Hardman was interviewed by the broadcast team after the game and admitted: "I ain't gonna lie man, I caught that pass and I blacked out," and "I didn't know what was going on until I saw Pat running to me and I was like, 'Oh, we just won? Let's celebrate!'"

Mahomes gatecrashed the interview to explain all, including his surprise at Hardman's reaction: "I threw a touchdown to this dude to end the game, and he looked at me. He had no idea. I said, 'Dude, we just won the Super Bowl.' He had no idea. He didn't even celebrate at the beginning."

The Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime, marking their third Super Bowl win in the last five seasons under head coach Andy Reid.

Kansas City celebrated their victory with a big party, which saw Taylor Swift and rapper Ice Spice join the team. The locker room was buzzing and the celebrations continued at a posh club in Sin City.

When asked if the Chiefs were becoming a dynasty, Mahomes confidently said: "Yeah, it's the start of one. We're not done.

"I know we're gonna celebrate tonight, celebrate at the parade Wednesday in Kansas City, but we're not done. We've got a young team, we're gonna keep this thing going."

This was Swift's first Super Bowl win as a fan of Kansas City, with her boyfriend Travis Kelce playing a key role. However, he seemed to lose his cool with head coach Andy Reid during the first half, but was quick to address the incident in the press conference. "He's one of the best leaders of men I've ever seen in my life," Kelce said about Reid.

Reid brushed off the sideline behaviour of his star tight end. "He caught me off balance. I wasn't watching. He was really coming over [and saying], 'Just put me in, I'll score. I'll score.' So, that's really what it was. I love that. It's not the first time. I appreciate him," Reid explained.

The Chiefs don't intend to stop winning Super Bowls either. When asked after the game if the Chiefs are becoming a dynasty, Mahomes replied: "Yeah, it's the start of one. We're not done. I know we're gonna celebrate tonight, celebrate at the parade Wednesday in Kansas City, but we're not done. We've got a young team, we're gonna keep this thing going."
