D&D's anniversary starts with an adventure that takes you to level 20

We finally have a release date for the new Player's Handbook, DMG, and Monster Manual.

In 1974, the first version of Dungeons & Dragons was published, inspiring generations of Tabletop RPG Fans to immerse themselves in new worlds that now span the imaginations of over 50 million players. In 2024, Wizards of the Coast is kicking off a year-long celebration. We finally have a release day for the new Player's Handbook, DMG, and Monster Manual.

Kyle Brink, Executive Producer of the team making D&D at Wizards of the Coast, said: "D&D has a rich history, an exciting present, and a great future. This year we'll be celebrating all three with the 50th Anniversary of the first publication of Dungeons & Dragons." He adds that they will take fans through the making of the game, bringing some classic adventures to today's play, visiting iconic settings in the D&D multiverse, and kicking off the future of the game with new 2024 core rulebooks.

The year-long celebration begins in March 2024, and fans worldwide can play the same adventure together, inspired by the creators' love for tournament-style play. An excerpt from an upcoming release, "Descent into the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth," will be available wherever your DM is - kitchen tables, video chat rooms, D&D Beyond, and even conventions and game stores.

The D&D team is all set to launch a thrilling range of licensed products with top-notch partners. Fans can look forward to Converse footwear and clothing, an official Lego building set with mini-figures, and even Pop-Tarts for gaming table snacks.
