The beauty egg craze is back for 2023 and fans need look no further than the Look Fantastic beauty egg with an incredible product line up!

With plenty of alternatives out there swaying chocolate lovers from their annual sugary fix, a beauty egg is that little bit of luxury we all need to pamper ourselves over the Easter holidays. In the same way Christmas has ditched confectionery in favour of calendars stuffed with makeup and skincare products, you can now do the very same in spring, too.

Ths year's offering is a cash-saving must buy, with products worth £200 costing shoppers just £60 - and that even includes seven full size products.

Inside the box are nine different products, including hair care, makeup and skincare - and astonishingly, one of the , so it’s a huge deal for those needing a beauty update.

Beth Shufflebotham gives us her thoughts on the popular egg launch, which has been a sellout for the last 6 years in a row.

The arrives in a lilac box that is 100 per cent worth saving because it’s ideal for using as a birthday box - it’s actually sturdy enough that you can use it as storage, and pretty enough that it’ll fit right into your home. If you’ve got little kids, it’s an ideal toy box for storing things like Lego bricks or Polly Pockets.

Inside the box you’ll find the beautifully decorated and feels very on trend. Cracking open the egg, it reveals a nest of gold glitter shredded padding, under which lies an impressive clutch of products.

One of the most exciting products in the egg was the I’ve seen this brand all over TikTok in recent weeks with beauty buffs raving about their products, so when I’d had a shower and washed my hair, this was the first thing I reached for.

I’ve often been sceptical about products that claim to dry hair faster - it’s a chore I begrudgingly endure with long locks - but this did seem to cut down my drying time considerably, and has a bit of a coconut fragrance to it, making your hair smell like summer.

Also living up to expectations was the which recently went viral, and it really does smell as incredible as everyone says it does. The 75ml pot comes in at £20, so it’s not exactly cheap, making the LookFantastic beauty egg a really cost effective way to try out luxury brands at a more affordable price point.

Having recently ran out of my Dr Jart Cicapair cream, I was excited to get my hands on the which offers a hydration boost to the skin. Packed with Ceramides, it’s super creamy and has the consistency of Benefit Porefessional, so helps build the perfect base for makeup.

I then worked a number of the products into my makeup routine, including the worth £44. The illuminating primer offers a really glowy complexion so it’s perfect for heading into summer with a very subtle shimmer to it, meaning it could even be used as a liquid highlighter.

Maintaining the shimmery theme, there’s the ’, which is a really creamy eyeshadow pencil that adds a real pop to a nude eye look. It can be smudged on with the stick and blends effortlessly with a finger to achieve a low-key glam effect.

When it comes to my brows, for seven years I’ve used a £2.50 gel from Boots that I really love, so it’s unlikely I’d ever ditch it for anything more expensive, but the is a joy to use and offers a slightly different result to my go-to brand.

One side has a creamy pencil for filling in and shaping brows, while the other has a fineliner style pen for adding definition, and together, the dual-ended product provides full and fluffy brows for half the price of a brow lamination.

I was also taken aback by the , because the brush only has bristles on one size instead of a 360 brush like most mascaras. But upon combing the product through my lashes, the lift and volume was unmatched. I’ve always struggled to find a mascara that ticks every box - good application, consistency, texture, easy to remove, no transfer, but this one seems to be a decent contender.

I was most impressed with the fact that even after all day wear, the usual black smudges under my eye were minimal, so it’s a really long-lasting product.

I equally adored the , which really does what it says on the tin. I’ve been genetically blessed with naturally full lips, and applying this product I looked as though I’d gone the extra mile and had filler. Those who are considering going under the needle for hundreds of pounds might want to think twice and get this £24 lippy instead.

Finally there’s the , prime for unwinding after a long day. You really can’t beat a good face mask, and this is one of the most luxurious I’ve tried, and would be the perfect way to end Easter weekend.

For many families, Easter is a second Christmas and some parents will easily spend £60 per child on chocolate and treats, so for teenagers or older children, this is a great option to get a lot more bang for your buck. Alternatively, if you’re treating yourself it’s a fantastic way to discover new and best-loved beauty brands at a fraction of the cost. Personally, I think it's way better than chocolate.

The launched online on March 6, and will be on sale until Easter - or until it sells out, making it seven years running.
