Brianna Ghey's sadistic killer has reportedly bragged about her callous crime from behind bars, and is said to revel in her 'fame' inside the young offender's institute.

Scarlett Jenkinson, from Warrington, was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 22 years for the murder of the 16-year-old transgender teen. Her transphobic accomplice, Eddie Ratcliffe, was handed a minimum term of 20 years.

The two 16-year-old killers, who met at school aged 11, lured Brianna to a park in Warrington on February 11, 2023, before brutally stabbing her to death 28 times. When Brianna's bleeding body was discovered by dog walkers, the two murderers acted none the wiser.

Calculated Jenkinson sent rehearsed texts to Ratcliffe, pretending to be surprised at the news of a dead body being found, while she disturbingly messaged Brianna in a bid to plant a seed that a man from Manchester could have been responsible.

Following thousands of disgusting WhatsApp messages in which they discussed their hit list, the murder of Brianna appeared like a well-rehearsed performance, with hand-written notes found in Jenkinson's bedroom with step-by-step instructions on how the pair would go about ending the innocent teen's life.

And now the serial killer fanatic, who is being held at Adel Beck Secure Children's Home in Leeds, West Yorkshire, has reportedly boasted about her crime from behind bars. She gleefully Googled her name to see what stories had been written and evilly laughed: "I know how famous I am", according to a source.

The Sun reports that she told jail staff that Brianna's distraught parents "don't mean anything" and when reportedly asked if she felt regret, the source said she responded: "I did for two hours. Now I don't give a f**k, and I'd do it again."

The source also said that the twisted teen had made requests to prison staff to buy her a book on US serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, known as the Milwaukee Monster, who killed and dismembered his victims before eating parts of them. The source added: "She loved the idea of fame. It was one of the only times I saw genuine emotion from her. She was proud of what she did. It was chilling."

Her fixation with notorious serial killers was highlighted during the trial at Manchester Crown Court, where it was heard Jenkinson developed an obsession with the dark web from the age of 14. She immersed herself in graphic videos of people being tortured and along the way, developed an admiration for Dr Death Harold Shipman, the Night Stalker Richard Ramirez, the Killer Clown John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer, referencing them in her journals.

Jenkinson is expected to remain at the children's facility in Leeds until she is 18-years-old. The home comprises three eight-bedded house units. Photographs online show the secure unit boasts a gym, an outdoor playground, and they even have their own chickens.

An example bedroom shows posters on the walls, a single bed with blue bedding, and a nightstand filled with books. Numerous write-ups online state that the home delivers 'integrated primary care and mental health services' including education, 'behaviour interventions' and 'personal development'.

Both male and female children can attend from as young as 10 for those who have 'been remanded or sentenced by a court or whose behaviour cannot be managed in any other form of accommodation.' In a 2017 Leeds City Council press release, it said young people make 'exceptional progress' at the children's unit, which had again been recognised as 'outstanding'.

Government inspectors commented: "This is an establishment that totally focuses on getting the best for young people, and, as a result, all young people make exceptional progress relative to their starting points and time spent in the home." The report praised the staff and the management, saying it was run by a "strong, cohesive and highly effective leadership team."

They added: "There is a keen focus on professional development... the staff team is very committed and morale is high. The team is skilled at establishing strong and trusting relationships with young people and is highly effective at managing relationships between young people, including using restorative practice."

Staff were also praised for giving young people 'a voice' through regular meetings. While there is a 'specially developed' programme to enhance young people's reintegration back into community life, which was highlighted as particularly successful.

Ahead of Jenkinson's sentencing, it was reported that she had drawn up a second kill list at the secure youth accommodation where she was being held. Referring to Jenkinson, Deanna Heer KC, prosecuting, told Manchester Crown Court: "Another kill list was found at the secure unit which refers to names of people caring for her."

She had been examined by Dr Richard Church, a consultant forensic psychiatrist. The doctor concluded she did not have a mental illness but presents with a severe "conduct dissocial disorder with limited pro-social emotions".

Meanwhile Ratcliffe, who has mild autism, is locked up at Barton Moss secure children's home in Salford. Addressing both defendants, Judge Mrs Justice Yip announced: "Scarlett and Eddie, you are to be sentenced for murder, you are to be detained at his majesty's pleasure, which, as you know, is a life sentence.

"I must also set a minimum term before you can be considered for release. You will only be released if in the future it is decided you no longer present a danger. That decision will be for the Parole Board.

"Brianna was only 16-years-old. She had her whole life ahead of her. This case is unusual and it has shocked the public." Picking apart their 'difference', Mrs Yip told Jenkinson that her "motivation was to act out fantasies... The messages show you wanted to make a real victim feel pain and fear."

The judge described the killing as 'exceptionally brutal' and that her primary motive was her 'deep desire to kill'. Addressing the pair, she continued: "This was a murder involving sadistic conduct. You both took part in a brutal and planned murder which was sadistic in nature, and where a secondary motive was hostility towards Brianna because of her transgender identity. This was a murder of particularly high seriousness.

"You picked Brianna because you both thought she would be an easy target. She thought you [Jenkinson] were her friend." Addressing Ratcliffe, she added: "It would in my judgement be wholly wrong to treat you as being under Scarlett's control. On the other hand I acknowledge that you were not the driving force behind the plan to kill Brianna, Scarlett was.

"In your messages about Brianna, you undoubtedly directed hostility towards her based on her transgender identity." The judge said Ratcliffe explained that he may have picked up the 'dehumanising' language from other people. But the judge told him: "I'm satisfied you are quite capable of holding your own views."
