Haunting images of an abandoned home show university certificate and Zimmer frame have been left behind.

Pictures show a zimmer frame, wheelchair and wedding pictures of a happy couple, a globe wearing a hat, many paintings and newspaper clippings and even a degree award from 1934. The objects are thought to belong to an elderly male living alone as a widower, according to an urban explorer. The degree is made out to a woman named Mary and states she got a Bachelor of Arts from the University of London.

It was then the first UK University to award degrees to women from 1878. The pictures were taken by Kyle Urbex in the village of Bitchfield, Lincolnshire. An elderly couple named Mr John Fisher and Mrs Mary Angela Fisher once lived at the property. Mrs Fisher obtained a degree in Fine Arts at the university in 1934.

Another name, 'Ursula' was discovered on a prescription bottle in the upper bedroom and is assumed to be a daughter of the elderly pair. Kyle said: "They began life both living upstairs but towards the end one of the beds was moved downstairs with a zimmer frame positioned next to it as you can see in my pictures which would indicate one of the Fishers became too fragile to tackle the staircases.

"The property was vacated in early 2020 when John Fisher either passed away or moved out. There are plans for the house to be redeveloped by a nearby neighbour who has bought the land and house and plans to demolish the site and use it as extra space for his farm. After getting inside the property it became evident that the house was frozen in time.

Other belongings were also found by the urban explorer including the poignant sight of a zimmer frame, a wheelchair and family snaps from a different era. Kyle added: "Family photos lay on the table and all the family possessions still intact. One of the things that stood out for me in this explore was the sad sight of the zimmer frame next to the bed and the wheelchair in the main living area which proves by the end Mr Fisher was on his own.

"It did feel quite eerie in some parts, especially finding the creepy dolls upstairs next to the hand painted pictures, I am glad it will be saved and brought back into public use. I would definitely say it's one of my favourite explorations. The House sits in a little quaint village known as Bitchfield just outside of Grantham and the inside features are stunning."
