Ryan Reynolds' persuasive powers clear as Wrexham star details transfer talks
Ryan Reynolds is not afraid to use his Hollywood influence to get Wrexham the help it needs to continue climbing up the League Two table.
Early on transfer deadline day, Wrexham nabbed striker Jack Marriott from Fleetwood Town and right-back Luke Bolton from Salford City. After initially arriving in North Wales, Marriott he was "really delighted" to be a part of Wrexham.
"I heard about the interest for the last week or so and it was something I really wanted to pursue. It was a big decision for me and my family," he said, per GOAL.
"We spoke in great length about it and it was something that we decided together that we wanted to do, it was the right thing for us all. Fleetwood were great throughout the process and I appreciate them for doing that."

Marriott elected to drop to League Two to join fourth-place Wrexham. Currently, Fleetwood Town are 22nd in League One, five points up on last-place Carlisle and five points behind Port Vale.
The 29-year-old striker also went into detail as to why he decided to drop down a league to be with Reynolds and Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney in North Wales. "We spoke about dropping down a division but when you look at the club and the package and everything, it seemed like a great move," Marriott added.
"It is great to see what is going on at the club, that was not ignored, and I am delighted to be a part of it. I am here to do my best to help the team and the club on and off the pitch, that is all I can do."

Manager Phil Parkinson reiterated the club were glad to be able to bring in Marriott, who has experience with Derby and Peterborough in the past.
"We're really pleased to bring Jack to the club," Parkinson said. "He's got proven experience at a higher level and comes to us looking to make a real contribution in our second half of the season."
This is not the first time Reynolds or McElhenney have used their Hollywood to impact the club. The coach the team used is up for sale for £77,950, and it includes a variety of amenities including ovens, microwaves, three fridges, seven TV monitors and a PlayStation 5 on board.
It remains to be seen how to club will replace the team bus but it was noted by BBC Sport that Wrexham had taken a jet to 16 fixtures last season, showing just how much the club's travels have progressed with the two Hollywood stars at the helm.
As Wrexham continue their push to the top of League Two, they certainly will need all the help they can get for the remainder of the season. And with Reynolds and McElhenney's backing, the sky is the limit for the Welsh side.
