King Charles has been left 'frustrated' by cancer diagnosis for two reasons
King Charles is said to be frustrated with his cancer diagnosis for two main reasons, it has been reported.
On Monday evening, His Majesty told the world he had been diagnosed with cancer but remained "wholly positive". Prince Harry has since dropped everything to fly from California to London to see him as the monarch undergoes treatment. While it has not been confirmed what type of cancer it is, Charles has already begun treatment.
Insiders at the palace say Charles is "on his usual good form", but also say there are two reasons why his condition has left him "frustrated". The King is said to be a little frustrated about his diagnosis because of the impact it has had on his plans - being just 17 months into the job - as well as how it affects the plans of those around him.
A friend who saw His Majesty told the Sun : “If you didn’t know there was anything wrong with him you wouldn’t know.”
Another source said the King was “on his usual good form”, and “just a little frustrated that his condition has affected not just his own plans but impacted on others”.
Baby boy has spent his life in hospital as doctors are 'scared' to discharge himEarlier this week reported how members of the royal family are set to step up and rally around the monarch as Charles has stepped back from "public-facing duties". A source close to the Royal Family told the Mirror : “The Queen has been remarkable.
“While her husband has been in hospital, she was by his side and also making sure she didn’t neglect her own duties. She doesn’t want to let anyone down. She is 76 and one of the hardest-working members of the family. She never complains, she just gets on with it.”
The day after Charles' cancer announcement, Camilla hosted a reception at Windsor Castle for authors and illustrators.
The next day, she opened a £6million centre run by cancer charity Maggie’s at London’s Royal Free Hospital, then travelled to Bath to celebrate the 850th anniversary of St John’s Foundation at the Chapel of St Michael.
Meanwhile, William had taken a step back to take care of Kate as she continunes to recover from abdominal surgery. Today, William returns to public work, carrying out an investiture at Windsor Castle in the morning and later attending a gala for the London Air Ambulance in the evening. Today, Princess Anne was seen continueing with her public engagements as she visited a Royal Navy team.
