Cara Delevingne landed her very first West End role as Sally Bowles in the hit musical, Cabaret.

The 31-year-old supermodel will take on the role at London's Playhouse Theatre from 11 March. A first-look photo showed her looking out of this world in a mint green fur coat with her hair slicked back. The Suicide Squad star rocked purple smokey eye makeup with wispy eyelashes.

Cara will appear alongside Olivier award-winning actor Luke Treadaway who will be starring as the Emcee. Speaking about her exciting new role, Cara said: "There are no words to explain the excitement I have to return home to make my stage debut in such an iconic role".

"I cannot wait to be a part of this brilliant cast and production."

Her co-star Luke added: "I can't wait to become a member of the Kit Kat Club and join this extraordinary production. It's a huge thrill to be asked to take this on and I'm very excited to get started." Cara and Luke are taking over from Jake Shears and Rebecca Lucy who have played the roles since September 2023.

Cara started her acting career with a minor role in the 2012 film adaptation of Anna Karenina. She's also known for her role as Margo Roth Spiegelman in Paper Towns and the Enchantress in comic book movie Suicide Squad alongside Will Smith, Jared Leto and Margot Robbie.

She starred alongside Selena Gomez in Only Murders in the Building and presented the documentary Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne. Her latest roles were as Validation in Tell It Like A Woman (2022) and Ivy Ehrenreich in American Horror Story: Delicate (2023). Her character in her latest venture Caberet is a British flapper who is the headlining chanteuse at the seedy Kit Kat Klub in Germany during the twilight of the jazz age.

The musical centres around the overindulgent nightlife at the seedy club and US writer Clifford Bradshaw's relations with the English cabaret performer, Sally. The original 1966 Broadway production was based on an older play inspired by Christopher Isherwood's book Goodbye to Berlin.

It became accessible to a bigger audience when it was developed into the 1972 hit film starring the one and only Liza Minnelli, Michael York, Helmut Griem, Marisa Berenson and Joel Grey. The movie won many Academy Awards and holds the record for most Oscars earned by a film not honoured for Best Picture.
