Adele looked fabulous as she was among several famous faces from these shores to attend Super Bowl LVII where Rihanna was performing for the first time in seven years.

The NFL's showpiece event kicked off at Arizona's State Farm Stadium on Sunday evening as the Philadelphia Eagles faced the Kansas City Chiefs for the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Rihanna hadn't performed solo for seven years before her appearance and had barely been involved in the music industry since releasing eighth studio album 'Anti' back in January 2016.

However, the Barbadian songstress announced her shock return to the music industry on September 25 last year when she posted a photo of her holding an American football - gaining more than 7.1 million likes on Instagram - to signify that she was to perform at halftime of Super Bowl LVII.

Pop superstar Adele looked glamourous as she sat in plush seats for the event which saw Rihanna perform during the Apple Music Halftime Show in Glendale.

Model and actress Cara Delevingne poked fun around Rihanna's halftime stunning show with an interesting shirt, while Gordon Ramsay looked smart as he was pitchside. Also in the VIP seats was Paul McCarthy and his wife Nancy Shevell.

Adele's chic wardrobe saw her in a smart grey blazer with black pinstripes and matching trousers while completing her look with gold hoop earrings and sunglasses. She complimented the attire with a grey handbag.

Paul McCarthy and Nancy looked comfortable as they sat in the comfortable red seats at the State Farm Stadium. Paul was wearing a navy gilet over a dark T-shirt and blue shirt combination, while Nancy was wrapped up in a navy zip-up jacket.

Cara Delevingne showed where he priorities laid in Arizona with her tongue-in-cheek t-shirt surround the showpiece's halftime artist.

She shared the photo of her shirt on Instagram, which had the words emblazoned: "Rihanna concert interrupted by a football game. Weird but whatever."

In the second photo on her account, Cara put the shirt over her head, showing off her toned figure and her black sports bra, which had a photo of Rihanna wearing an American football helmet.

Gordon Ramsay's appearance caused some surprise as the celebrity chef was pitchside as he went for a casual look.

Wearing a white Nike trainers, grey trousers, navy T-shirt and black Aviator sunglasses combination, the 56-year-old was then introduced to hip-hop mogul Jay-Z on the pitch.

Jay-Z, who founded record label Roc Nation which Rihanna is signed to, wore a hoodie adorning his entertainment agency's name and was joined in Arizona by his 11-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, which he shares with pop superstar Beyonce.

There was more music royalty in attendance for the Super Bowl as Cher was spotted in the 63,400 capacity crowd.

Rihanna's eagerly awaited Super Bowl half-time show certainly didn't disappoint as she took to the stage in Arizona - and fans were convinced she was sharing baby news.

She performed a medley of her tunes during here impressive 13-minute set which had the crowd on the edge of their seats.
