PS Plus Essential subscribers will be getting three free games this month, just like every other month! Here's when they're dropping.

The PS Plus February 2024 Essential lineup is going to bring the Dark Souls-inspired action RPG Steelrising, Rollerdrome – which can best be described as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater crossed with Doom – and a brand new day-one launch in the form of Square Enix's new multiplayer shooter Foamstars. Any month where you can pick up a brand-new release is a good one, but it helps that we get an absolute banger like Rollerdrome to support it.

A year before Lies of P took the soulslike genre to Europe, Steelrising follows a clockwork knight (not related to the Sega Saturn game, sadly) during the French Revolution. Steelrising also takes a page out of the Assassin's Creed book by having you brush elbows with real-world figures of the time like Marie Antoinette and King Louis 16.

Steelrising and Rollerdrome were released weeks apart back in 2022, however, they couldn't be more different. Rollerdrome takes cues from 1970s pulp magazines and the likes of Rollerball and The Running Man, these elements come together to create one of the most visually striking games in recent memory. Plus its core gameplay loop is both engaging and unforgiving at times as you try to complete all the level's goals.

PS Plus February 2024 Essential games release time

The PS Plus February 2024 Essential games release time is set for 10am GMT / 5am EST / 2am PST on Tuesday, February 6, and is when Foamstars, Rollerdrome, and Steelrising will be available for PS Plus subscribers. The PS Plus Essential free games arrive on the first Tuesday of the month, and funnily enough February 2024 is no different.

The PS Plus section on the PlayStation website may take a while to update and show these titles as available for PS4 and PS5 consoles. however, if you head onto the PlayStation Store and search for the games individually, you can redeem them. When a new batch of PS Plus Essential titles arrives, the previous offering will become unavailable for good, so you'll need to grab the PS Plus Essential January 2024 games before then.

These games will remain available on PS Plus Essential until Tuesday, March 5 – when the PS Plus March 2024 Essential free games will arrive.
