That 70's Show star Danny Masterson moved to new maximum-security prison
Danny Masterson from That 70's Show will be moving to a new prison.
Danny, 42, is currently being held at a California State Prison and will be moved to maximum security. He was moved from North Kern State Prison in Delano, California to Corcoran State Prison in the state’s Central San Joaquin Valley. Initially, he was held at the LA County Men’s Central Jail. The former That 70s Show actor was found guilty of sexually assaulting two women around 20 years ago in September 2023. He was sentenced after being convicted in May 2023.

The Corcoran State Prison once held Charles Manson, a convicted murderer, from 1989 until his death in 2017. The prison also held Sirhan Sirhan, the Sen. Robert F. Kennedy assassin, until he was moved to the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego County’s South Bay area in 2013.
Danny was recently denied bail and will be eligible for parole in 2042, a 30-year to life sentence. He would live in a level 4 housing unit, the highest level of protection available in the maximum-security facility, according to reports.
That '70s Show actor Danny Masterson drugged and raped women, says prosecutorThe Los Angeles Superior Court judge, Charlaine Olmedo wrote: "If defendant’s conviction and sentence are upheld on appeal, he will likely remain in custody for decades and perhaps the rest of his life," according to Deadline. He added: "In light of the fact that defendant has no wife to go home to, defendant now has every incentive to flee and little reason to return to state prison to serve out the remainder of his lengthy sentence should his appeal be unsuccessful."
His wife, Bijou Phillips, reportedly left the Church of Scientology, earlier this month. Danny was a long-time member of the Church. The case directly involved the Church since he met the women through his involvement. Bijou filed for divorce after the ruling, even though she was by his side at the trial. Bijou's decision to leave the church was was, reportedly, motivated by the Church's decision to expel him as she wanted to make sure their daughter, Fianna, was able to stay in touch with him. If she would have stayed in the Church, Bijou would have been required to "cut ties" with Danny, making co-parenting their daughter difficult.
