Furious Love Island viewers 'stop watching' as show favourite axed
Love Island fans claimed there was "no reason" to keep watching the ITV2 series following an exit on Wednesday night.
A quadruple elimination sent shockwaves across the villa in the latest episode, just as two new bombshells prepared to enter the villa. After two stars were axed on Tuesday night, another pair were dropped from the villa on Wednesday, and viewers were not happy with the decision.
A day on from Liberty Poole and Mitchel Taylor being voted out of the villa by the public, it was then the Islanders' turn to vote out one girl and one boy. Host Maya Jama had the girls and boys split up and decide which two stars would leave the show.
The boys had to choose to send home a girl, and the girls has to choose which male Islander to send packing. It was decided that Hannah Elizabeth and Tyler Cruickshank, who happened to be in a couple, had been axed there and then.

Taking to X, fans fumed over the boys sending Hannah out of the villa believing someone else should have gone.

One viewer said: "hannah and tyler gone i quit all stars i’m not watching it anymore," as another commented: "right if they send anton or hannah home istg will not be watching." A third fan added: "I’m not watching this anymore," while a fourth said: "Give me a reason to watch Love Island now that Hannah’s gone, I’ll wait."
