Hunter and Clone Force 99 are back for a third and final season

Star Wars fans don’t have long to wait for their next trip to a galaxy far, far away, as the latest season of The Bad Batch is almost here. The Lucasfilm Animation series is heading to streaming platforms for its third and final outing, with Clone Force 99 still dealing with a tragic loss and set to face new and familiar villains.

The critically acclaimed animated series is both a sequel and spin-off from the Emmy-winning series The Clone Wars. It follows Clone Force 99 – otherwise known as The Bad Batch – an elite clone trooper squad whose genetic mutations allowed them to resist carrying out Order 66, when the Jedi were murdered to near-extinction.

After defying Emperor Palpatine’s mass-murder order, the Batch crew were deemed fugitives of the Empire and became mercenaries. Created and executive-produced by Dave Filoni, The Bad Batch has been well-received by fans of the franchise, currently boasting an overall 88 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
