'My girlfriend cheated with my brother - now she's dropped another bombshell'
A woman has shared her heartbreak after discovering her long term partner cheated on her with her sibling but that was just the beginning of the betrayal.
After discovering her girlfriend of three years had slept with her brother, a young woman's world was about to be turned upside down again when her ex delivered more devastating news and her family turned against her.
The young woman explained that her partner 'Anna' was her first girlfriend after coming out as gay and because her family hadn't been very supportive of her sexuality she relied on Anna as "a friend and partner". Despite being together for three years, the young woman said she didn't feel like they were on the same page or that Anna took their relationship seriously.
She took to Reddit to share her story and wrote: "I loved Anna and was very serious about her. She on the other hand seemed to treat me and our relationship as a hobby. She was there for me and was loving and all but we often fought over her not taking me and our relationship seriously. She said I was too attached and I felt she wasn't into a long term commitment."
However, she still introduced her girlfriend to her family and on their first night in her parents' house, Anna confessed she found her brother James "very hot" but it meant nothing because she was gay.

This wasn't quite the case though because the woman caught Anna and her brother in bed together. She ended the relationship and told her parents she'd disowned her older sibling for the betrayal.
"My parents sort of supported me," she explained before adding that they didn't really understand. "I don't think they ever took my relationship with Anna seriously because I'm gay and so while they said they were sorry they didn't really think it was "all that heartbreaking"."
Anna, who her family really liked, started to date James after a few months and the woman felt they accepted their relationship more and ignored the fact there was an overlap, so she kept her distance from them all.
Fast forward two years and her brother and Anna dropped the bombshell which was to cause another rift. The woman's mum called to tell her the couple were expecting a baby and wanted to get married.
When the news didn't go down well with the hurt woman, her mum gave her a lecture on the importance of family. Anna apologised for the events of the past but said she hoped she could be happy for them and excited about becoming an aunt.
Anna didn't get the reaction she wanted though: "I kind of lost it and snapped at her," she revealed. "I said I didn't care one bit about her or her baby. I called her a cheating w***e and hung up the phone. Since then James has called me a b***h and told me to not show up anywhere near his family. Even my mom and some aunts have said I was crossing the line.
"I haven't stopped feeling this rush of intense anger and hatred everytime I see Anna happy and laughing with James," she went on. "It feels like more cheating how she takes him so seriously and all but just breezed past our relationship and ended it on a whim."
The conflicted woman asked other users of the site if she was overreacting and should forgive Anna and try to express herself to her family. The majority of replies were supportive of her and criticised her family for not taking her feelings seriously.
"I am so very sorry your family has failed you so tremendously," wrote one. "I am sorry they're demanding you swallow s***, smile and say thank you because family. They aren't treating you with love, compassion and kindness and that is what you deserve. Your mother especially sucks. Just stop responding for a while. Distance yourself for your own mental and emotional wellbeing."
Others pointed out that Anna cheated originally and could have already done it to James too: "Ask your mother if family is so important then why did James cheat on you with your GF?" suggested one. "James is the one showing he has no respect for you as part of the family. Remind your mother if Anna is willing to cheat on you to be with James, then how does James know Anna didn't cheat on him as well? How does anyone know for sure that James is really the father of Anna's baby?"

A second agreed: "Karma for the brother would have him catch her in bed with another woman, or find out he's not the father of the baby," they wrote. A third echoed the opinion and said: "Well, we know at the very least that Anna lied about being gay and is bisexual, so it's probably only a matter of time before James catches her with a female."
