Joe Wicks was dad-shamed after he shared a video of his four-year-old son doing chin-ups on a high bar at the gym.

The 38-year-old fitness coach recently took to his Instagram page to post a video of his son Marley joining him for his workout. Marley didn't seem to struggle with the equipment as he confidently hung from the bar and completed a few chin-ups. He used the barbell, which was placed on the equipment, as a stepping stool to get to the bar.

Joe was with his son the entire time to ensure his safety but some followers were shocked to see the young boy using the potentially dangerous equipment. One worried follower commented on the post: "That's dangerous, one slip and the kid is crashing to the floor."

Another concerned user added: "It’s lovely but if he falls he is gonna break his head on that bar..." Most fans thought the wholesome video was adorable and rushed to compliment the YouTube star for promoting health and fitness at a young age.

"Love this Joe haha, what a legend he is. Getting strong from an early age going to be winning all the arm wrestles at school," one user posted while another wrote: "Oh love this so much. What a couple of beautiful souls."

Last year, Joe had to defend himself when he shared a picture of his baby daughter Leni dangling from a pull-up bar at an outdoor gym in Santa Monica, California. In one image shared on Instagram, baby Leni hung onto the metal bar, looking completely relaxed as Joe looked on.

It didn't take long before people slammed him, with one user questioning: "Is that safe for her shoulders and joints to hang onto bars supporting her own weight like that? while another posted: "Please don’t do that to your baby." One said: "Is that even possible for a baby that age to be able to hang from monkey bars though?!"

However, some fans praised the young gym-goer, with one follower commenting: "That first picture of Leni is amazing!!! You need to recreate that every year!!!" He later seemingly defended his photo by sharing a throwback snap on his Stories. The gym fanatic took an image of a framed photograph which saw him and his two eldest children hanging from a similar bar at a beach. Indie and Marley appeared content as they smiled alongside their father, in the precarious position.
