Supercomputer predicts FA Cup ties including Man Utd and Liverpool clashes
Liverpool and Manchester United will make the fifth round of the FA Cup according to a supercomputer - but Manchester City's hopes will end.
The holders head to Tottenham this weekend, which has not been an away trip that Pep Guardiola has enjoyed. The Catalan won the FA Cup for a second time back in May but their journey could end in the fourth round according to the genius algorithms at OLBG.
Liverpool and United meanwhile are hot favourites to see off Norwich City and Newport County respectively. The two Premier League sides have more than a 60 per cent chance of winning against their lower league opponents. The Reds beat Arsenal in the third round with United seeing off Wigan.
Bournemouth, another top flight outfit, will begin things on Thursday night when they host Swansea City with the Cherries heavy favourites to keep their cup ambitions going. Nottingham Forest meanwhile have a 51 per cent chance of seeing off Bristol City, who beat West Ham United in the third round.
Chelsea will host Aston Villa, who have already enjoyed a win at Stamford Bridge earlier this season. The supercomputer though reckons the tables will turn and has backed the Blues to gain revenge, giving them a 51 per cent chance of beating Unai Emery's men.
Marcel Sabitzer completes Man Utd transfer after last-minute deadline day dashEverton take on Luton Town with a number of all-Premier League ties taking places. The Toffees have been given a 65 per cent chance of success with Fulham favourites to see of Newcastle United and Sheffield United tipped to overcome Brighton and Hove Albion.
Maidstone United are the lowest ranked side still in the FA Cup and they will travel to Championship high-flyers Ipswich Town, who are expected to secure the win. Leeds United host Plymouth Argyle with the Whites tipped to make the fifth round with a 55 per cent chance of winning.
Wrexham's fairytale shows no signs of slowing down. After an impressive run last season, that saw them narrowly beaten by the Blades, they travel to Blackburn Rovers. Despite the two-league disparity between the sides it is the Welsh outfit who have been narrowly backed to secure the win.
Elsewhere the likes of Wolves, Watford and Championship leaders Leicester City have been tipped to make the fifth round of the FA Cup. In the last three decades the so called top six sides have dominated the competition, winning it on 26 out of 30 occasions.
