Manchester United have yet to sign a single first-team player in the transfer window and they are rapidly running out of time.

The Red Devils came into the January window in dire need of a new forward and work is ongoing to secure one. Bayern Munich's Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has been linked, while Erik ten Hag has expressed an interest in Ajax star Brian Brobbey.

It remains to be seen if they pursue either of those or a fresh name emerges over the next week or so. There could also potentially be exits from Old Trafford.

If they are to secure any deals, Man United need to get a move on with just a week remaining until the window slams shut. With that being said, take a look at all of the rumours coming out of Old Trafford over the past 24 hours:

Greenwood 'closing in' on Barcelona switch

Man United striker Mason Greenwood is edging towards a move to Spanish giants Barcelona. The Red Devils academy graduate joined La Liga side Getafe on loan at the start of the season.

He has scored five goals and notched four assists in the time since. That form has been good enough to catch the attention of Barcelona.

According to The Sun, Xavi's side have been monitoring him all season and are hoping to tie up a deal sooner rather than later. Greenwood has apparently hailed a switch as a 'dream move', while it is now down to the two clubs to agree a fee over his services. Elsewhere, it is also reported that Spanish rivals Valencia and Real Sociedad are keen on Greenwood.

Dumfries swap rejected

Inter Milan have seen a swap offer for Man United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka rejected by the Red Devils. The Italian giants have offered the services of Dutchman Denzel Dumfries in part-exchange, also according to The Sun.

Man United have been linked with a move for Dumfries in the past. It is suggested that Inter Milan need to sell some of their current stars to ensure they comply with FFP regulations.

The Red Devils are not interested this time, however. Meanwhile, they also chose to extend Wan-Bissaka’s current deal by activating an option in his contract.

Man Utd plot Antony exit

While the Red Devils look set to hold onto Wan-Bissaka for the time being, one man who could be on the way out of Old Trafford is Antony. According to reports, the club are hoping that the Saudi Pro League will offer an escape route for the Brazilian winger.

The former Ajax star has failed to reach expectations at Old Trafford since his big-money move to the club. Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants to improve the Red Devils’ operations in the transfer market and that includes cutting Antony adrift. It is suggested that they are hoping to recoup around £50m for his signature.
