Strictly's Dianne Buswell teases dramatic re-style to ditch iconic red hair

Dianne Buswell says she is planning for a dramatic new look after admitting she doesn't like to wear red.

The Strictly Come Dancing professional is known for her fiery red locks that have become a staple of her wardrobe on the BBC competition. However, Dianne could be getting ready to switch up her famous red hair for something very different. She became a Strictly finalist during the 2023 series as she impressed judges with EastEnders ' star Bobby Brazier.

The pair created a strong bond during their time together on the show and Bobby has even offered Dianne a bit of style advice. Speaking to The Mirror ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing live tour, Dianne explained why red is her least favourite colour. She said: "I mean wearing red to be honest, even though I wear red every day. To wear red I think it is a bit of an overkill with red hair, red outfit it is a bit much."

Bobby quipped: "Like you did the other day?," to which Dianne replied: "Yes exactly that's what I mean, it is my least favourite colour but I am wearing red all of it." While Bobby told us Dianne's future plans for her hair colour. He said: "She told me she might go green." Dianne added: "Maybe, maybe I will change my hair colour. We will see," as Bobby gushed: "I think she looks lovely brown."

The professional dancer, who wore a brown wig during her Salsa with Bobby, admitted: "I am a natural brunette so maybe." Earlier this month Dianne had made the bold admission about her hair colour. The 34-year-old posted a mirror selfie as she wore a bright red sports bra, matching leggings and red headphones to go with her bright hair.

She shrugged as she wrote in the caption: "Fun fact!!!! Red is actually one of my least favourite colours." In early October Dianne rocked a brown wig. Fans loved the colour so much they begged her to make the change full-time. Some viewers had to double-check it was Dianne too, admitting they barely recognised her.

Taking to X - formerly Twitter - one viewer said: "Wow Bobby and Dianne that was hot!! Where have those hips been and Dianne I didn’t even recognise her one word amazing!! For me a 9!" Another fan tweeted: "Dianne looks so good with brown hair omg," as a third wrote: "WOAHHH Dianne with brown hair looks stunning."

Another fan commented: "Diane’s hair!!!!!" while a further tweet read: "It’s time for Dianne to leave the red hair behind because she looks INCREDIBLE brunette oh my god." The comments kept on coming too, with one reading: "BRUNETTE DIANNE NO ONE BREATHE," as another commented: "I can’t get used to Dianne's brown hair."

Dianne and Bobby narrowly missed out on taking home the Glitterball Trophy as Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola bagged the top spot. Bobby recently declared Dianne was the "love of his life" as he baked her muffins. Their chemistry was well-documented on Strictly. Refusing to hide their platonic affection for each other, after learning they'd made it to the final, Bobby turned to Dianne and whispered: "I love you so much." The ballroom and Latin dancer appeared to reciprocate the affection by telling him she loved him too.
