Everything leaving Netflix in March - including Sylvester Stallone favouriteThe snap comes after Carrey recently enjoyed birthday celebrations as he turned 62 surrounded by a host of Hollywood famous friends, including close pal Adam Sandler, Dustin Hoffman and US talk show legend Jimmy Kimmel. Also in attendance was fellow comedians Seth Green, Bill Burr and Jeff Ross as they ate at San Vicente Bungalows.
Carrey hasn't been seen in an acting role since 2020 but had been winding down roles and film work since 2016. In 2018 he told The Hollywood Reporter: "I just didn't want to be in the business anymore. I didn't like what was happening, the corporations taking over and all that." In a more recent interview he added further insight as he explained to Access Hollywood : "I feel like I have enough, I've done enough, I am enough. I really like my quiet life. It depends. If the angels bring some sort of script that's written in gold ink that says to me that it's going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road, but I'm taking a break."
