Dan Walker's tooth falls out live on air after 'nasty altercation'
Dan Walker was left in an awkward situation following a "nasty altercation".
The Channel 5 News broadcaster has taken to social media to reveal that his tooth fell out while live on air. Dan, 46, recently confirmed that he had landed his own show at Classic FM, broadcasting from Manchester. His followers have now rushed to social media to share their support after his blunder.
Dan took to Twitter and Instagram sharing the moment his tooth fell out leaving him completely speechless. In view of his 800,000 Twitter followers, he was seen holding up his gnasher as he snapped a selfie.
"Actual tooth fell out on air this morning after a nasty altercation with some crunchy peanut butter @classicfm," he said alongside a tooth emoji. His upload which has racked up hundreds of likes was soon flooded with messages from his followers.
"It's happened to me with a healthy nakd bar! Never again," said one. Meanwhile, another over on Instagram commented: "Snap! My crown snapped off last week - a front tooth too. My sympathy." A third went on to write: "I lost a tooth eating a seeded bun! Hope you get it fixed soon and are not in discomfort."

Speaking earlier this month about his new career venture, Dan said: "This is an amazing chance to join one of the biggest radio stations in the country. I'm over the moon that I'm going to be part of Classic FM's brilliant line-up and presenting the breakfast show is a wonderful opportunity.
"I am passionate about classical music and I'm a long-time listener I also love the breakfast audience and I think they know me well so I can't wait to get started." Philip Noyce, boss at Classic FM, said: "It's really fitting to welcome in the new year with our new-look 2024 schedule and to be able to welcome Dan Walker back to breakfast broadcasting as the new host of Classic FM Breakfast is fantastic. Dan previously appeared on BBC Breakfast and spent 13 years at the corporation before being dealt an offer he "couldn't refuse." Shortly afterwards, it was announced that he was moving to Channel 5 News.
