Ashley Cain’s ex Safiyya Vorajee says she is suffering from heart palpitations as a result of her anxiety

Ashley Cain's ex-girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee has admitted to her Instagram followers that her anxiety is causing her heart palpitations and several other worrying symptoms.

According to 36-year old Safiyya, Ashley dumped her in a "quick and brutal" manner less than a year after the pair tragically lost their baby daughter, Azaylia. The pair welcomed the tot into the world in August 2020, but she was soon diagnosed with leukemia and passed away aged just eight-months old.

Ex on the Beach star Ashley later hooked up with an unnamed childhood friend, who gave birth to his second child earlier this week. Ashley, 33, who isn't in a relationship with the mother of his newborn, shared his news on Instagram on Thursday as he wrote: "Aliyas Diamond Cain - 16.01.24, 4:32am, 9lbs 3oz. I will love you, appreciate you, guide you and protect you with all of my heart, for the rest of my life."

Aliyas' arrival came after Safiyya had expressed her feelings to her one million followers in a post that read: "Anxiety - heart palpitations, palms sweating, irritated and restless. It's been a long working day. Wearing a happy mask all day gets draining. Feeling so much anxiety today sometimes managing it can be hard. Especially when you need to focus and work."

She continued: "Can't wait to be home off this train, take of my brave face mask. Working all the hours God sends me atm. Rely on you always always have your own back. Expect nothing from others that way we never feel disappointed. That's the mindset I've had to build for myself. It's sad but it is what it is."

Last month Safiyya broke down in tears during a chat to to GK Barry on her Saving Grace podcast. She explained that she overcame her negative thinking and suicidal thoughts after deciding to use her horrific experience as a means of helping others suffering in similar ways.

She told listeners: "I really tried not to [question 'why me?'] And that's because I felt so [suicidal] after I lost Azaylia that I thought if I start sitting in 'Why me, why's this, why's this?'... that's why I had to execute my pain and turn my pain into purpose. It was going to go two ways. I was either going to take my own life or I needed to execute it into purpose and make changes in the pain I've endured. And that's what I do."

Safiyya and Ashley raised a staggering £1.6 million prior to their daughter's death - in the hope the funds could be used on pioneering life-saving treatment in Singapore. Sadly the bereaved parents never made it East, and instead pledged to use the money to support "other children and their families in the same situation as us". They subsequently established The Azaylia Foundation, before their break-up.
