Ashley Cain to become a dad again in weeks two years after death of daughter
Ashley Cain is becoming a dad again, two years after the devastating death of his daughter Azaylia.
The reality television star has previously opened up about losing his beloved daughter aged eight months after she battled a rare form of cancer. But two years after her heartbreaking death, Ashley has revealed his first-born was the first person to know he was welcoming a second child.
Having informed Azaylia about his news, Ashley, 33, believes this allowed him to be positive about becoming a dad again and said he felt as though he needed to speak to her to get it off his chest. But, he says Azaylia was happy for him when he spoke at her resting place.
Ashley Cain has revealed he's having another baby (Channel 4)In a new interview, Ashley confirmed that he will be having a little boy, with Azaylia "happy" that she will have a little brother to watch over and "protect". But the star revealed he is not in a relationship with the mother of his unborn son, but says they have been friends since the age of 18.
"She is a really nice person and good to be around. I got a message saying that she needed to speak to me so I went to see her and she told me she was pregnant, I can't put into words how that felt," he told The Sun on Sunday. Ashley explained that the news was "very difficult" to process when his friend informed him they were having a child.

Although he's now over the moon to know he'll have a baby son, he and his female friend were left devastated when they were informed their baby has a possible heart defect.
He revealed the first person he told was his late daughter Azaylia and the news was 'painful' for his ex, Safiyya (@miss_safiyya_/Instagram)"They couldn’t find the connection between one of the valves and the heart so it was another very difficult time for me. I had already been through a really tough journey with Azaylia, I had already lost a child and I was worried and scared it could happen again."
He went on to add that his son will have to go for a scan the moment he is born to make sure his heart is okay. The star said he was "saying his prayers" and "believing positive things" ahead of the birth which is in just a number of weeks. However, Ashley says it was "painful" for his ex-girlfriend and mother of Azaylia to find out he was having another child.
The Ex On The Beach star says that the former couple who split last year have an "amazing relationship" and that his ex-girlfriend, Safiyaa will support him. Speaking previously to The Mirror, Ashley revealed that Azaylia "saved his life".
He told us: "The reason also why I still talk about her passing is because I am so grateful that even though now I have lost her, I was blessed to have those eight months with her, and in that time, she taught me so much. She changed my life and she continually saves my life. I feel like she gave me a chance at redemption and that she is the person who allowed me to be organically and authentically who I am."
