Love Island fans should brace themselves for plenty of drama in the villa as original contestant Josh Ritchie has warned he will wreck other relationships in the All Stars villa.

The 29-year-old star was one of the first ever contestants on Love Island when the show first began back in 2015 - and he made it all the way to the final after entering on day one and ending in third place alongside then-girlfriend Lauren Richardson, 34. Now he is returning to the villa for a second attempt to find love on-screen - but he issued a threat as he prepared to enter the villa.

As Wednesday's episode came to an end, Josh was uncovered as the next bombshell to be heading to the villa - where he will replace Jake Cornish, 26, who sensationally quit after just three days. Footage showed Josh emerging from a swimming pool and he declared he was ready to bring drama to the villa.

In VT to introduce himself, the reality star said: "I’m Josh, I’m 29 and I’m from series one of Love Island. I’m an OG." He then warned: "If someone’s in a couple it definitely will not stop me. I always get what I want."

The official Love Island Instagram account confirmed his entry into the too, writing alongside a glamorous shot of the star in trunks: "The OG cheeky chappy, @joshuaritchie1, is back on the Island, but will he get up to mischief this time around? #LoveIsland #AllStars" along with a crazy faced emoji. Viewers were excited to see that he was heading back to screens.

Fans of the series couldn't wait to see what chaos he would bring to the show, with one writing on X: "one thing about josh is that he is NEVER settling down he’s there to cause carnage only and i’m seated." And another commented: "What’s this about Josh Ritchie coming on as a bombshell then? Sod the Jake drama."

Meanwhile, fans were sad to see Jake exit the series after he had grown uncomfortable in the villa. After quitting the show, he said in a statement: "After a few amazing days in the Villa, I’ve made the decision to leave Love Island: All Stars as I’ve realised that now isn’t the right time for me to find love as I would never want to force a connection.

"I have no regrets whatsoever as I’m so glad I got to enjoy my time in the Villa reuniting with some familiar faces as well finally getting an opportunity to clear the air with Liberty. I wish her and all of the other Islanders the very best and will be cheering them all on from home."

Footage aired on Wednesday night showed Jake telling his co-stars he had decided to leave. He had entered the villa on day one - where he was gobsmacked to see fellow season seven co-star Liberty Pool, who he had dated during the 2021 season. The pair were forced together into a relationship by the voting public, leaving both uncomfortable.

After Jake decided to leave, Liberty broke down into tears. She explained in the Beach Hut that she was “proud” of Jake for making the decision to leave, and praised him for putting himself and his happiness first.
