Olivia Attwood returns to TV this week with a new documentary series that explores cosmetic surgery - something she has regretted herself in the past.

The 32-year-old former Love Island contestant has been something of an open book about her past indulgence with surgery and cosmetic tweaks. And she is set to explore the surgery world in her new show titled Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection.

Olivia first rose to prominence in 2017 when she was a contestant on season three of Love Island - propelling her into the spotlight. The reality star has been scrutinised over her appearance and she has confessed in the past to having a boob job - and regretting it.

The reality star has also been open about the fillers and Botox that she has used in the past. Her new show will see her explore a range of cosmetic procedures - and it seems there will be some cross over in topics.

Boob job regret

Olivia told The Times in January 2024: “I was fixated and it was cheap and quick. These b****y boobs were so heavy. I was happy for a year, then I realised they didn’t look right for my frame. The weight of the implants started to stretch my skin and they got lower and lower. I started to think, ‘This isn’t what I signed up for at all'.”

She went on to admit she has undergone other procedures in search of beauty, explaining: “I do the non-surgical stuff to my face ― Botox, all the jazzy skincare, the Morpheus8, the lasers. I’ll try everything that’s new. I’ll do dots of filler here and there. Fillers are a journey I’ve been on... The ‘natural’ that women are buying isn’t natural at all.”

Botox confessions

In 2022, Olivia was drafted as a contestant on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! but was forced to quit the contest within hours due to medical reasons. But before she flew Down Under, Olivia confessed she had spent thousands on her appearance ahead of her jungle stint.

She revealed: "So, I did eyebrows, tint and lamination, my lip blush tattooed so it looks like I’ve got a bit of lippy on it’s gone a bit too red in the sun but that’s fine, better than nothing, and I did Botox and a facial and that’s it. Oh and I cut three inches off my hair, it’s not short, just to make it a bit more manageable.

“I cut down my nails to short and square, which is not my normal go to, it feels strange but just so I can actually use my hands instead of breaking a nail. I’m hoping this is going to be one of those experiences that make you realise that all those things don’t really matter – but somehow, I don’t think that’s going to be the case. It’s weirdly exciting to strip back and go back to basics."

Lip filler removal

In 2019, Olivia explained that she was excited to have her lip filler removed. She said online: "I’ve been having lip fillers for years, probably five or six years. That lip has started to come out of the lip line and started to look really puffy - something I never wanted, so I’m actually excited to start again fresh. It looks better than it did because it was over-filled."

She also warned that it can take a long time to repair the damage to her lips to get them looking natural again. She said on Instagram: "Did a lip blush top up this weekend @archandcoclinic - wouldn't let anyone else go near it... now, after my yearly top-up - nothing on them apart from Vaseline!"

What is Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection about?

Her new show is to become available to stream via ITVX this week, debuting on Thursday 18 January 2024. An official announcement about the show states: “In this brand new documentary series, Olivia Attwood Dack will be going behind the theatre doors, meeting the everyday people who are going under the knife to achieve the ‘perfect’ body.

"From changing beauty trends to groundbreaking new procedures, Olivia will explore how far we are willing to go and exactly how much we are willing to pay to reach that ever-changing goal. This fresh and immersive programme will see Olivia take on a new role, investigating five of the most popular body parts for cosmetic surgery in the UK." The show is also said to explore procedures that are available to affect the face, breasts, buttocks, vagina and penis.
