Inside Jake and Liberty's angry Love Island split from 'fake feelings to tears'
Love Island All Stars' Jake Cornish has decided to leave the villa after being coupled up with his ex-girlfriend Liberty Poole.
The 26-year-old Islander has reportedly quit the show following an 'emotional' chat with host Maya Jama, after realising that he 'couldn't stay' on the programme. It's said that seeing his former flame and knowing they 'wouldn't get back together', while also being pied by the girls who didn't step forward, led to his decision.
The couple met on the 2021 series of Love Island and almost made it to the final. Blonde bombshell Liberty, 24, confessed her love to Jake after he asked her to be his girlfriend - but it didn't last. In a shocking twist, heartbroken Liberty decided to end their romance and accused him of faking his feelings to win series seven.

She said at the time: "I just don't feel like you love me for me and I want someone who loves me for me." The pair decided to break up and leave the show ahead of the grande finale, where lovebirds Millie Court and Liam Reardon scooped the winners' titles.
Jake revealed that he was 'devastated' when Liberty decided to call off their relationship, and said they tried to make things work on the outside world. He told The Sun that he'd never been dumped before and it 'hurt'. He said: "Liberty was my cup of tea, but it took me a while to get to know her and for those feelings to grow.

"I've always been with blondes with blue eyes and big boobs - and we clicked. We would talk for hours and laugh the entire time. We were planning a future together and saying we couldn't wait to meet each other's families. I had genuine feelings for her."
Liberty didn't feel in her gut that Jake loved her and ended things just before the final (ITV)When Liberty announced she was on Dancing on Ice, Jake sent her a congratulations message and she thanked him - that was the last time they spoke. A source told the Mirror ahead of All Stars: "Jake is hoping to make amends second time round and will have more reason to be on guard as Liberty's best pal Kaz Kamwi will be by her side. There will be no room for messing up even if he does attempt to recouple with Liberty."
They continued: "Liberty and Jake had an extremely awkward reunion on Aftersun at the end of their series but it will be nothing compared to discovering they will be living in the same house for weeks on end. There were rumours the pair had given things another go after the show but the truth is they've not seen each other for years so things are going to get very uncomfortable."
When they came face-to-face on episode one, Chris Taylor turned to Liberty and said: "Well this is a fantastic start isn't it, you're going to have to have it out. Have you two spoken?" To which Liberty admitted: "No…not really. It's been two years…" Liberty told her pal Kaz that she would be mature and chat with her former boyfriend. But they soon played down any chances of rekindling their former romance.
