Manchester United play Spurs this weekend at Old Trafford with Erik ten Hag's side needing three points against a resurgent Tottenham team.

United's woes continued in their last match of 2023 when they were beaten 2-1 away to Nottingham Forest. The defeat left Ten Hag's side eighth in the Premier League and nine points off the top four with just one win in their last five games.

It's been a busy start to the transfer window for United though with Jadon Sancho leaving on loan to former club Borussia Dortmund while Donny van de Beek has been sent on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt, with further outgoings likely. However now they will look to get things right on the pitch but will face a resilient Spurs side buoyed by the signing of former Chelsea striker Timo Werner.

Not including their recent 4-2 defeat to Brighton, Spurs have been on the comeback trail after a rocky patch and have won four in five games with Ange Postecoglou's side climbing to fifth in the process. So with both teams eager to get closer to the top four and cement their European credentials for next season let's take a look at all you need to know about United vs Spurs this weekend.
