After some of the cast of Suits had a mini-reunion at the Golden Globes, Meghan Markle was noticeably missing.

The crime drama was the start of Meghan's rise to fame, becoming a Hollywood name before she married Prince Harry. Meghan played Rachel Zane in seven seasons of the hit show.

Meghan has taken a break from acting since becoming a member of the royal family. After she and Harry left royal duties in 2020, she became more focused on their production company Archewell Productions.

Her co-star, and love interest on the show, Patrick J. Adams was interviewed on the red carpet by E! News host Keltie Knight. The interviewer asked him about his thoughts on if Meghan would return to acting.

Patrick turned the question back around to Keltie, saying: "You heard that rumour? She told you that directly?"

Keltie had to awkwardly admit that she "made up" the rumour that Meghan would act again. "But would you ever team up again?" she asked.

"I think Meghan's a fantastic actor, so we'd be lucky to have her back in the industry," Patrick responded. Amid rumours of a Suits reboot, the actor added: "Yes, let's go, I'll do it again!"

Fans were quick to call out Patrick's enthusiasm to work with the Duchess as fake. "From the guy’s reaction, it is a rumour. It is obvious the cast don’t want to work with Meghan again," one fan wrote on social media.

Another added: "The cast obviously don’t like her. They don’t group chat with her. Period." This referred to a previous interview where Gina Torres, who played Jessica Pearson on the show, admitted that she didn't have Meghan's phone number.

Patrick also spoke about the resurgence of the show that ended in 2019. Once the show went on streaming services like Netflix and Peacock last year, viewership was off the charts.

With its rise in popularity, a possible reboot is in the making. Fans think that it could follow Patrick and Meghan's characters as they live their lives in another American city.

Their characters, Rachel and Mike, both left in the seventh season of the show. The couple married before taking jobs in Seattle, and the show went on for two seasons more until ending in 2019.
