Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star, has a diet that can include up to 4,000 calories per day, according to his private chef.

Kumar Ferguson, who is also a childhood friend of Kelce, revealed that the NFL player's favourite meals include deep-fried Australian lobster tails and Hawaiian heat wings. Ferguson became Kelce's private chef back in 2016, with the decision coming following a conversation between the pair - and it's a decision that's worked out for both parties.

“I flew out four days later and we haven’t looked back since,” Ferguson told Kansas City magazine.

Ferguson also went on to open up on how being a childhood friend of Kelce's has influenced the meals he cooks for the Chiefs tight end. According to the magazine, Ferguson states that on gamedays and on days when there's practice, Kelce will have three meals per day and consume up to 4,000 calories.

"His dad [Ed] is actually a grill master, so that's where I got filets in our diet," said Ferguson.

"Growing up, I would cook for all the bros after we'd be hanging out all day," Ferguson added. "That kitchen table hangout has always been a center for all of us. We have definitely carried that tradition with us.

"Being brothers is funny because we can throw shots at each other all day, but Travis is incredible when it comes to professionalism and just being on top of taking whatever he's investing into."

Kelce has been dating world-famous pop star Taylor Swift for the last few months, with the initial rumors first surfacing back in September. The singer has attended nine Chiefs games throughout the NFL regular season since her first appearance at their win over the Chicago Bears in September at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kelce and the Chiefs are gearing up for the Wild Card round of the playoffs. They'll host the Miami Dolphins at Arrowhead this Saturday, where Swift is expected to cheer on Kelce and the team as they aim to advance to the Divisional round of the postseason.

Swift was not at SoFi Stadium on Sunday in what was the Chiefs' final regular season game against the LA Chargers. Kelce did not play in the game, as he was rested ahead of the playoffs, but was on the sidelines to cheer on his teammates.

While Kelce was on the sidelines, Swift was in Los Angeles to attend the Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The Chiefs have a 6-3 record when Swift has been in the stadium to support the team this season.
