ASOS fans 'need' winter jumper that's a great alternative to famous Primark one

In 2023, a pink knitted jumper from Primark captured the hearts of fashion lovers across the UK, causing it to go viral and the brand to bring out several different colours. But what if your nearest Primark doesn't have this cosy wardrobe staple? Well, one ASOS fan has found a pretty close alternative in shape, style and comfort.

Sharing her discovery on TikTok, @Chloeepavlou posted a video on the video social media platform in which raved about the ASOS Design boxy crew neck jumper in black and said: "If you love this viral Primark jumper that was absolutely everywhere last year, I need to tell you about this ASOS jumper."

Modelling the jumper in black, she added: "I don't know about you, but I haven't found any jumpers that fit the same as that Primark one, but this one... it fits exactly the same, but it's just a bit thinner.

"Oh my god," she concluded, "I need it in every colour."

The £22 item comes in an assortment of colours, from blue and buttermilk to striped and black, and features a boxy fit and drop shoulders for maximum comfort. While it may be thinner than the Primark jumper, its wool-mix blend will certainly keep you toasty in the cold conditions Britain is currently experiencing.

And it seems Chloe is not the only shopper who is loving this particular jumper, as commenting on her video, fashion lovers shared their impressions of the knit with glowing reviews.

One wrote: "Wearing the red one right now!!!!! They’re incred."

Another added: "It’s so good," while a third remarked: "I want the primark one but never been able to find it so the asos was a godsend."

The TikTokker also shared her sizing preferences for anyone needing a comparison to the viral Primark item - as a UK 14/16, she wrote how she got a "medium in the primark one but a large in the ASOS one!"

Now, if you're after an oversized jumper that covers your hips or at least the tops of your legs, this jumper doesn't seem to quite do that. But its short length means it will work gloriously with high-waisted trousers and skirts.
