Kate Middleton has 'power move' Princess always does when she's ‘got it right’
The Princess of Wales performs a subtle "power move" every time she appears in public which has helped her to always "get it right" in her regal persona, a body language expert believes.
As the future King and Queen, it is ever important for the Prince and Princess to present themselves in a positive way to the public, exuding an air of respectability and class. For years, royal experts have commented on how elegantly Kate acts, behaving as a true future Queen, while meeting members of the public, foreign diplomats and British businesses and NGOs.
Body language and behaviour expert Darren Stanton analysed footage of all of the royals to see how much they'd developed by the end of 2023. And it's not only Kate - Prince William has created a "new gesture" to use during appearances, and King Charles is no longer "afraid to show his emotion".
Analysing Kate's behaviour, Mr Stanton said she is always "holding court" and makes it so that she is "very much the centre of attention". As Kate takes centre stage, Prince William remains "confident", which he believes is the couple "getting it right".
The main way Kate draws attention is by "eagerly and willingly engage with the public before bodyguards have even got out of the vehicle", Mr Stanton said.
Kate Middleton swears by £19.99 rosehip oil that helps 'reduce wrinkles & scars'He added: "As well as this, if you look at the non-verbal and dynamics with the way that she talks to people, it is like she is holding court and is always very much the centre of attention with whoever she is speaking to. Even if we didn't know who she was, we would know that she is in charge purely based on how people respond to her from a non-verbal perspective. It is also clear how popular both William and Kate are based on the response they get from people that they meet."
Out of all the royals, it's Kate and William who have "developed the most over the past year", Mr Stanton told Betfair.
“If I was handing out awards on which royal couple has developed the most over the past year, it would be to Prince William and Princess Kate. In the space of the last few years, they have really evolved, adapted and improved in their levels of confidence and self assurance", he said.
"This is based on the way in which they interact with not only each other, but the public and anyone they come into contact with. Their level of trust and rapport with each other is unmatched, and if we look back a decade ago, they were both massively unconfident. In terms of their body language, you could see it straight away that there was no confidence there - there was little eye contact and no displays of affection. But if you fast forward to the present day, they have come so far with all of this - they have just got it right.”
Yesterday, Mr Stanton said the pair have an unusual way of showing affection to each other, showing their love through "humour" and "mischievousness".
Mr Stanton also dissected how the compatibility of royal couples has changed over the years. He said that King Charles and Camilla are "the most compatible couple" because they still have the " same passion".
Darren said: “William and Kate are a very strong couple, and their relationship has continued to evolve and grow even stronger over the years. They started off as independent students who found true love. They were sweethearts, and we still see that side to them now.
"An important thing I have seen over the years is that both their levels of confidence and independence - in public and private - has really developed. We have never seen senior members of the Royal family be so affectionate with one another in the public eye. If we look back at photographs of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, we would never have seen them holding hands or being tactile with each other.
"This shows how in tune William and Kate are with each other on an emotional level. They’re also not afraid to be open and honest through their body gestures about how they feel. They've really broken the mould, and there's a level of humour, playfulness and mischievousness to them when they want to be - which is really refreshing to see.”
