Parking spaces and the way people park their vehicles in them can sometimes cause blazing rows, however, one man managed to get petty revenge on someone who unleashed their frustrations on him about the way 'he'd' parked - but he got the last laugh.

The man explained that he lives in a city, and to save money, he doesn't own a car. "Sometimes it's inconvenient", he penned, but he manages, especially as there's a supermarket just a few streets away from him. So when he was accused of parking 'his' truck inconveniently in the car park of the supermarket he was visiting, he couldn't resist and had to play along to wind the fuming woman up.

On forum website Reddit, he explained what had happened, writing: "So, I'm leaving the grocery one day, a bag in my arm and another in a small backpack. I'm walking through the parking lot on the way home and this lady steps out in front of me and starts yelling that I parked my truck too close to her car.

"I look next to her and this little orange hatchback is parked with the driver's side right up against the white line. Next to it is a large white pickup with its passenger side also right up against the white line. Each vehicle was within its proper spot but with little more than the width of the line painted on the pavement separating them.

"As I'm looking at the situation and trying to figure out what's going on. This woman is yelling at me calling me a short little s**t and demanding I move 'my truck'."

The man wasn't happy with the comment about his height, saying that he'd been "teased about it enough", and he referred to the woman as a "bully." He penned: "I'm also aware when some bully is having a tough day and wants to abuse someone, they don't tend to challenge the biggest dude around. They pick someone who looks easier to abuse. Still, now and then I don't have the patience for such nonsense. I decided to push back. I know it wasn't my truck but I wasn't going to tell her that. So I said: 'I'll park however I like and I'm not moving that truck'. She kept yelling and mocking me and I continued to refuse to move the truck.

"Anyhow, while this is happening a dude walks past us, tosses something in the back of the truck, climbs in, and starts to pull out. She does a double-take and seems lost for words. As the truck pulled away I said 'I never said it was my truck' then I continued on my way through the parking lot, and headed home."

In the comments, people were shocked that someone would kick off in such a way, with one fuming: "It's a story she won't tell others", with someone else adding: "She will absolutely tell others this story...her version of it."

Someone joked: "This reminds me of a scene from one of the Pink Panther films with Peter Sellers. He's checking into a hotel and looks at a dog sitting next to the counter and asks the guy behind the counter, 'does your dog bite?' Counter guys says, no. He reaches down to pet the dog and the dog nearly takes off his hand. Sellers says, 'I thought you said your dog does not bite!' THAT, is not my dog." Another added that they thought of the "exact same thing."

"Lmfao, thanks for my first proper laugh of the new year", a Redditor praised. "His story is funny", wrote another, and someone hilariously added: "She was parking up the wrong tree."
