Mbappe speaks out as ex-Liverpool star Firmino considers Premier League transfer
Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League, with Jurgen Klopp's side three points clear of Aston Villa in second.
However, they are set to lose both Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo to the Africa Cup of Nations and Asian Cup respectively, meaning Klopp may look to bring in reinforcements in the January transfer window.
Liverpool are set to be back in action on Sunday when they take on Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup, with that tie then followed on Wednesday by the first leg of their League Cup semi-final clash against Fulham. Here is the latest transfer news coming out of Anfield.
Mbappe speaks out
Liverpool are among the clubs that have been linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe, who is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.
And the forward has now spoken out about his future, insisting he will not rush to make a decision. He said: "To start with I'm very motivated by this year. It's very important. We have titles to win and we have already won one. I haven't made my decision yet. I haven't made a choice.

Firmino considers Prem return
Former Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino is considering a return to the Premier League just six months after he left Anfield to join Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli.
According to talkSPORT, Fulham are one of several English clubs who have been offered the chance to sign Firmino, while Sheffield United were also interested in the forward before manager Paul Heckingbottom was sacked and replaced by Chris Wilder last month.
Firmino spent eight years at Liverpool, scoring 111 goals in 362 appearances across all competitions as he helped the Reds win the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.
Balagizi recalled
Liverpool have recalled yet another youngster, cutting short midfielder James Balagizi's loan spell at League One side Wigan Athletic.
Balagizi is the fourth player Liverpool have recalled, along with Fabio Carvalho, Owen Beck and Rhys Williams. The 20-year-old made just seven appearances for Wigan across all competitions, the last of which came in an EFL Trophy game against Tranmere in November.
In a statement, Wigan said: "The club would like to thank James for his efforts during his time with Latics and wish him all the best for the future."
