Angelina Jolie's daughter Zahara grabs coffee post dropping dad Brad Pitt's name
After dropping her father Brad Pitt's last name, Angelina Jolie's daughter Zahara was spotted out and about in Los Angeles.
She was seen keeping it casual in a pair of black trousers and black swoop neck t-shirt. The 18-year-old added a light lavender cardigan and clutched her phone in hand. Keeping with the lowkey feel, she popped on a pair of gray Crocs. To accessorize, Zahara wore a pair of hooped earrings, a necklace, and a black mask.
The budding star, who briefly followed in her parents' tracks with two movie credits, carried a tray full of three iced drinks as she skirted out of sight. Zahara has been quite busy lately at college.
She attends Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, but the school is current on winter break which gives her plenty of time to visit her family in California. Zahara joined Alpha Kappa Alpha which is the first intercollegiate African American sorority. She was adopted by Angelina and Brad from Ethopia in 2005 which explains the racial different between herself and her parents.
As part of her induction into the sisterhood, Zahara introduced herself on-stage where she omitted "Pitt" from her name. As per the sorority's ritualistic traditions, she said on video: "My name is Zahara Marley Jolie! Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles, California … I am this line’s number seven."
Brooklyn Beckham sparks backlash again with 'Scouse soup' after pasta fiascoZahara isn't the only one to change her name in an estrangement from her father. In 2021, their other adopted, Maddox, testified against his father in Angelina and Brad's custody battle. A source told Us Weekly: “Maddox has already given testimony as [an] adult in the ongoing custody dispute and it wasn’t very flattering toward Brad. He doesn’t use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren’t legal and instead uses Jolie. Maddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn’t support.”
This jarring name changes comes amid Zahara's adoptive sibling, Pax, was revealed to rant about his "a**hole" father. In a 2020 Instagram post dug up by the Daily Mail, he wrote: "You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell. You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want. So Happy Father's Day, you f*****g awful human being."
