The John Lewis January sale is one to bookmark, with savings across big name brands in the tech, home, beauty, and fashion world. While we've spotted discounts on popular items including the Dyson Airwrap and the Ninja Foodi Air Fryer, there is one deal that handbag lovers won't want to miss out on.

Originally £395, the Coach Pillow Tabby 18 Leather Shoulder Bag has been reduced to £237, which is a saving of £158. The best-selling arm candy is a reimagined version of the classic structured Coach bag design, with a contemporary silhouette and a timeless style.

While the "beautifully soft" and "cute" Coach bag is available in several colourways, it is the ivory shade that has been heavily discounted on John Lewis, and it's the cheapest we've been able to find it online. The accessory features two detachable straps, so you can carry it as a clutch, or wear it as a cross-body.

You'll be hard pressed to find this style and colour of Coach bag anywhere else, as it is out of stock on their official website as well as multiple other retailers. It is petite in size, which does mean it is limited in what it can carry, but one shopper said: "Got this with discount and it was worth every penny. A true investment piece! This bag is really well made, the softest leather and a timeless piece that I'll wear for years to come. Great size for nights out – can fit an iPhone, cards, keys and lipstick. I am obsessed."

If you're after a larger bag in the same style, look to the Pillow Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 - it is currently discounted from £550 to £330 on the Coggles website. You could also consider the £85 Charles & Keith Moore Padded Shoulder Bag for a cheaper alternative that has a similar look and feel.
