Paris Hilton has treated fans to a cookalong recipe as she revealed exactly how she makes her viral pasta dish 'sliving lasagne' on Instagram.

The dish, with the name coming from the socialite blending the words slaying and living, originally caught the attention of the internet in 2020 but now the mum of two showed fans how to recreate it at home as she cooks it up for her family. The star took fans along step by step on her social media page as she recreated the recipe, which went viral three years ago on her YouTube series Cooking with Paris. The final result is a unique take on the classic Italian lasagne recipe, which has previously split fans as being "realistic cooking" as well as others finding Paris' way of cooking "hilarious" and "amazing".

In the series of videos Paris posted to her Instagram Stories on Monday (January 1), the former party girl takes fans through step by step. From cutting and chopping onions to breaking up ricotta cheese before layering up her dish and then showing off the post oven baked final result.

Paris' recipe deviates from the classic Italian dish and doesn't use bechamel sauce, but instead uses a layer of ricotta cheese with her top layer of dried lasagne sheets and grated parmesan. The final result features the cooked pasta sheets curled and slightly burnt, as she told her followers: "It's hard to cut through".

In her 2024 recipe, Paris seems to have made some upgrades compared to her 2020 version which featured no onions, bechamel, wine and a lack of parmesan cheese. Her previous video also saw her pour out the tomato sauce the beef was cooked in, as she explained: "You need to get all the oily stuff, it's so nasty". She also advised fans on 11 turns on the pepper grinder to represent the good luck of 11:11.

Her previous YouTube cooking video had fans in stitches as Paris shrugged off the needs for herbs and spices and some of the fundamental ingredients for the classic pasta dish, as one commented: "Looool love how she was too lazy to chop onions and garlic and then say 'i feel my lasagna should not have onion and garlic in it'. so relatable".

Another added: "This is so chaotic and I love it hahah this is like someone decided I’m going to record myself cooking in someone else’s kitchen no preparation at all. And girl the onions and garlic add the flavor. but I guess you don’t need it with the 10 pounds of salt you dumped on it. love you Paris! Such an iconic queen". A third wrote: "As an Italian, I'm laughing and crying at the same time." Another shared: "This is the most chaotic cooking tutorial but I love it."
