Chloe Madeley ready to become 'better me' in 2024 after James Haskell split

Chloe Madeley has bid farewell to last year and teased that she will be a "better" version of herself in the New Year, following her separation from her husband James Haskell.

The fitness instructor, 36, took to Instagram earlier to share a selfie of herself stood in the gym. She was seen posing in a mirror, showcasing her figure in a black sports bra, a pair of matching leggings and some trainers at the session.

Chloe had written over the photo: "New year, new me." She however had crossed out the second part of the phrase and instead added: "Same me but better." The caption of the recent post, which was set to Aerosmith's song Sweet Emotion, read: "2023 off you trot. 2024 come we go!"

Chloe had teased about the year ahead on New Year's Eve alongside a photo of her daughter Bodhi, one, whom she shares with her husband James, 38. She wrote: "2024 is our year kid. I love you my baby girl. Always and forever." It comes after Chloe and James - who have been married since 2018 - announced just a few months ago that they had decided to separate. The former couple had been together for almost a decade prior to sharing the news in October.

They issued respective statements, which were similar, at the time on Instagram. The announcement came just weeks after the launch of the ITVBe reality series Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair, which starred the estranged spouses.

Chloe commented in her statement: "James and I mutually decided to separate at the end of September, 2023. We did not want to release a statement at all, certainly not while the television show was airing, but the constant press speculation about our marriage has forced our hand."

The reality TV star - who's the daughter of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan - added at the time: "Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, as it is private and we have a daughter to coparent, whom we will love and protect at all costs."

She recently opened about her split from former rugby union player James, including sharing that she found the summer when "it was all breaking down" to be difficult. Chloe said: "I really struggled and I was not in a good place." However, the fitness instructor said that she has generally felt "so much better" since the pair "decided to call it a day" last year. Chloe added in her interview with OK! magazine that the relationship had "just stopped being good".
