William and Kate not seen in public this year - and it's not because of Harry
Prince William and Kate Middleton have not been seen in public this year, amid a host of allegations from Prince Harry.
The reason behind the quiet activity from the Prince and Princess of Wales is not due to Harry's new book Spare, however, but likely due to the school holidays and Kate's recent birthday.
She turned 41 on January 9, but that was a private affair. The couple has not been seen since their public walkabout at Sandringham on Christmas Day.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis also do not return to school until January 11 with their next break coming in February, which may be why they are choosing to remain away from the public gaze.
The King, meanwhile, was seen all smiles at a church service on January 8. King Charles smiled and waved as he spoke to wellwishers at a Sunday Service at St Lawrence's Church in Norfolk, but did not mention the attacks against him made by his son.

Harry's memoir is now on sale (Getty Images)Harry's memoir went on sale online and in bookshops across the country on Tuesday, and included several alarming claims, including William being physical towards his brother more than once.
One of the more significant leaked extracts from the book was the allegation that William "knocked" his brother to the floor during a heated discussion at Nottingham Cottage - Harry and Meghan's London home - during an argument in 2019.
The Duke wrote in the passage from the book: "He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me.

He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me.
"I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out."
Also in the memoir were more details about an argument between Meghan and Kate involving a bridesmaid dress. At the time, sources claimed Meghan made Kate cry ahead of her wedding to Harry, but Meghan said it was actually the other way around when appearing in an infamous interview wth Oprah Winfrey in 2021.

"There wasn't a confrontation and I don't think it's fair to her to get into the details of that because she apologised, and I have forgiven her.
"What was hard to get over was being blamed for something that not only I didn't do, but that happened to me."
Now, Harry has gone into more detail about the spat, and claimed Kate messaged Meghan to tell her Princess Charlotte's dress was "too big, long and baggy".

She said the youngster "burst into tears when she tried it on", to which Meghan was told to take it to the tailor. Kate then argued that the dress needed to be remade.
