Every Premier League player set to miss January through AFCON and Asian Cup
The festive fixture list is nearing its end and January is almost upon us, which means a fresh headache for a number of Premier League managers.
The Africa Cup of Nations AND the Asia Cup are both set to start in the new year, which of course means just about every club in the division will be without some key players for an extended period of time. With AFCON, as many as 46 players from the Premier League could be picked and out of action for their clubs.
It is a different story for the Asia Cup, with significantly less Premier League players leaving for the tournament. That's not to say there won't be some notable absences, with the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool all seeing key players jet off.
The AFCON final is not scheduled until February 11, meaning players that reach the final would be sidelined for as many as five weeks. The Asia Cup final kicks off on January 12 and will end a day before the AFCON final on February 10.
With all that being said, Mirror Football has analysed a number of players that are jetting off to Africa and Asia respectively.
