Gypsy Rose Blanchard is finally set to be released from prison after seven years behind bars for her involvement in the killing of her abusive mother - who made her life a life of fake illness.

And speculation is now running rife on TikTok about what her life will look like after prison, with many people sharing their hopes and dreams for Blanchard once she leaves prison - even though she may like to lie low for a while. She is set to be released tomorrow (December 28) after she was granted parole back in September.

And she is set to become something of a macabre celebrity after recently becoming a TikTok sensation - and has said she wants to meet Taylor Swift.

Blanchard confessed to her part in the June 2015 murder of her mum, Clauddine, who had medically abused her daughter for her entire life before she was killed. Blanchard worked in collusion with then-boyfriend Nick Godejohn, who was the one to carry out the killing when he stabbed Clauddine in her sleep.

It emerged during the trial that Blanchard was the victim of Munchausen’s syndrome by proxy, in which her mum insisted that she had several various illnesses and health issues throughout her life - not always for a discernible reason. Clauddine claimed that Blanchard had anything from leukaemia to muscular dystrophy - and ruined her daughter’s life as a result.

Blanchard was forced to stay in a wheelchair despite not needing to, take medications she didn’t require and use a feeding tube. Clauddine, otherwise known as ‘Dee Dee’, even lied about her age - including to Blanchard herself - ostensibly to keep control over her for longer.

But Blanchard came to the end of her tether and finally schemed to kill her mother alongside Godejohn in 2015. In 2016 both were sentenced to prison - with Godejohn behind bars for life without parole.

What will Blanchard’s life look like after her release? Many on social media want her to do things such as start a YouTube channel and become an influencer - but the convict may have other plans in mind…

Public speaking

Reports recently emerged that Blanchard is keen to take on public speaking once she is released from prison. Sources close to the 32-year-old claimed in October that Blanchard wanted to get behind the microphone and begin advocacy work on behalf of child abuse victims.

Specifically, the sources claimed she wanted to raise awareness about Munchausen’s syndrome by proxy, the mental disorder suffered by her mother which plagued Blanchard’s entire life. The sources told TMZ that she matured a huge amount while in prison, and those close to her believe she will genuinely be able to help others going through a similar situation due to extensive experience.

With a strong support system through her new husband Ryan, who she married on June 27, 2022, Blanchard is feeling ready to assimilate into society and put a positive spotlight on mental health. A large part of her healing in prison was group therapy - and Blanchard plans on continuing one-to-one trauma therapy to continue working through her issues.

A YouTube and Social Media star

Blanchard has become an online sensation, particularly on TikTok, with her fans now planning how she should re-enter normal life. Influencer Noah Miller satirically said he wants to instantly show Blanchard the new Azealia Banks’ song, 212. One commenter on Miller’s TikTok said: “She will need to start a YouTube channel and become an influencer IMMEDIATELY,” while another added: “I need her to rate every met gala look.” Miller added that she should be showed AI chatbot ChatGPT and introduced to rapper-singer sensation Ice Spice on her release

He isn’t the only to share itinerary suggestions for what Blanchard should get up to after she has left prison. TikToker Eli Rallo said: “Everyone has such insane wishes for Miss Gypsy Rose upon her release from prison and I just want her to have the experience of riding a beach cruiser bike to her friends house for a party & playing a game of seven minutes in heaven. I want her to go to Trader Joe's. I want her to go be prom queen. I want her to watch the Eras tour movie in theatres.”

One wholesome commenter said they want to see Blanchard “be able to order a pizza and eat it while watching any movie she wants, and she can paint her nails and buy clothes and she can cry and laugh and finally be FREE”. But despite all the hopes and dreams of her fans, Blanchard may well want some time away from the spotlight and with her new husband for her first days as a free woman.

Desire to meet Taylor Swift

The first thing she wants to do is attend a Kansas City Chiefs game with her husband on New Year's Eve. She hopes to be able to meet Taylor Swift, international pop superstar and boyfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce - and told TMZ that she had already bought tickets for the game.

She told how the pop star's lyrics helped her cope with her trauma and her time in prison - and she hopes to get tickets for Swift's October 2024 show in New Orleans.

The game is scheduled for New Year's Eve at Arrowhead Stadium against the Cincinnati Bengals — just three days after her release. Gypsy will be paroled, but she'll be free.
