Everyone loves a good console bundle, and Microsoft has just released a great one for fans of tearing up the Mexican countryside in a lime green Mini Cooper.

The imaginatively titled Xbox Series X – Forza Horizon 5 bundle, comes with, you guessed it, a standard black Xbox Series X console and a code for Forza Horizon 5 Premium edition. This version of the game includes the base game, the Car Pass, the Hot Wheels expansion released last summer, the VIP pass, the Welcome Pack and the game’s next expansion when it comes out. Everything you need to spend hours pretending you're staring in a new sequel to Mr. Bean's Holiday, or the weirdest Fast and the Furious spin-off you've ever seen.

The bundle, priced at £489.99 / $559.99 / AU$849.99, will be available worldwide and is out now in the US, Canada, and Asia. It's heading to the UK, Europe, Latin America and other regions later in the month.

It’s easy to see why. The game is simply stunning, especially on the Xbox Series X. It allows you to tear around the highways and byways of Mexico in one of more than 500 cars (534 to be exact) including Lamborghinis, Ferraris and for the more discerning driver with a love of Rowan Atkinson's most popular role of the early 90s (no, not Blackadder) the 1965 Mini Cooper.

With hundreds of miles of highway to screech around, dozens of races and missions to take part in, not to mention online challenges, and a great online multiplayer scene, you’ll always have something to do.

Forza Horizon 5’s sweeping vistas, sprawling expanses, and ancient temples look absolutely stunning on the Xbox Series X as well, helped along by the fact it runs in full 4k at 60Hz. If you have a TV that can handle it you can even play the game at a buttery smooth 120fps. If you’re a racing fan in the market for a new console, or someone that just likes mucking around in big open worlds, this is one bundle you won’t want to miss.

Like all first-party Microsoft games, Forza Horizon 5 is available on the Xbox Game Pass service. Though last year was a fairly quiet year for first-party titles on Xbox, 2023 is already looking like a packed year for the console with more than 40 titles, including Forza Motorsport, Redfall, and Starfield, already confirmed to be coming to Gamepass. And January isn’t even over yet.
