Police say they are 'seriously concerned' for the welfare of a missing mum who has vanished with her newborn baby.

Officers are urgently searching for Aminat who disappeared with her six-week-old tot in Derby and have asked anyone who sees her to dial 999 immediately. She was last seen in Cardigan Street, in the Chaddesden area, at around 4pm yesterday.

Aminat, who is believed to have taken her baby in a pushchair with her, is described as around 5ft 5ins tall and is wearing a knee-length brown hijab. Derbyshire Police has released a CCTV image of the mum pushing a buggy along the street and urged anyone who knows of her whereabouts to get in touch.

A force spokesperson added: "Anyone who has seen Aminat is asked to ring us on 999 with reference 913-201223."
