A BBC soap star has allegedly been accused of sexual harassment, it’s been reported.

It’s claimed the actor is being investigated by BBC bosses regarding multiple counts of alleged misconduct, with reports claiming the alleged incidents took place both on and around set earlier this year.

According to a source, the unidentified actor hasn’t filmed any new scenes since the claims were made and he last shot scenes before the summer. The insider claims the allegations have been “ the talk of the steamie but it’s been kept in-house until now.”

“He wasn’t involved in the filming of the new run of episodes. He last shot scenes before the summer,” the source alleges to The Sun.“It would be wrong to say he’s been suspended. He hasn’t filmed anything since the allegations but this has been his own decision.”

The source continues to claim “up to five incidents which have been complained about” are being looked into by the state-funded broadcaster. The police reportedly are not involved in the harassment claims which are reportedly being treated as an internal matter by the BBC.

According to the publication, the claims and allegations are “being dealt with” by BBC bosses, who say they will “thoroughly investigate” any allegations.

A BBC spokesperson told the Mirror on Friday night: “We can’t comment on any individuals but we take allegations of this nature very seriously and the BBC has robust processes in place to thoroughly investigate them.”
