PS Plus Extra and Premium December 2023 – get GTA 5 for free
PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will be able to play GTA 5 and the entire Mega Man series this month.
Here we are, the final PS Plus Extra and Premium drop of 2023. In celebration of the holiday season (if you ignore that there's a new batch every month) Sony has given us another drop of PS4 and PS5 games to play. This month's offering includes an reasonably unknown indie hit known as GTA 5. Presumably to capitalise on the hype of GTA 6 finally being announced after 10 years (and the GTA+ benefits this month for GTA Online), GTA 5 will be available for PS Plus Extra and Premium players to download next week.
My PS Plus December 2023 predictions may have been wrong this month, so it's sods law that the one month I decide to not guess Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin and Metal: Hellsinger is the month that both titles finally arrive on PS Plus. Stranger of Paradise is a soulslike and comes courtesy of Team Ninja (creators of Nioh and Ninja Gaiden) and is a new take on Final Fantasy 1's Warrior of Light storyline, featuring an edgy nu-metal lad as the lead character. If you can handle some hard-as-nails gameplay and some cheesy dialogue, this'll be up your street.
The previously leaked games for the PS Plus Premium tier Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Thrillville, and Thrillville: Off the Rails turned out to be true, these will be joined by Mega Man Legacy Collection. and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 (with the final piece of the puzzle, Mega Man 11 being a part of this month's PS Plus Extra offering).
