Miami Dolphins sweat on Tyreek Hill as injury problems threaten Super Bowl hopes
The Miami Dolphins have learned that Tyreek Hill has avoided serious injury but will continue to be day-to-day after an ankle inversion, but it's one that could hamper his season.
The superstar receiver had been on pace for a record 2,000 yard season - aiming to become the first ever player at the position to amass that amount. However, an ankle injury will now limit him - with his movement reportedly set to be hampered.
Hill could even miss the Dolphins' next game, with the team on a short week after playing on Monday Night Football in a bitterly disappointing loss to the Tennessee Titans.
The Dolphins will face their division rival New York Jets on Sunday, with Hill needing a big game to remain on pace for breaking 2,000 yards - while the team could choose to rest him with them needing their speedster for the playoffs.

Hill's injury came in the first quarter, after catching a pass from Tua Tagovailoa, Titans cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting fell onto Hill's legs with his ankle clearly inverting.
He hobbled off the field before being seen on the sideline testing out his ankle before sprinting to the Miami sideline, seemingly OK after the dangerous play.
Hill was eventually able to briefly return in the third quarter after Tagovailoa struggled without their key offensive weapon, but he would miss several plays in key downs with the receiver clearly playing through pain.

Tyreek Hill was frustrated to leave the field while playing through painElsewhere, the Dolphins have learned that they will be without their starting center for the rest of the season, with Connor Williams rupturing his ACL.
Williams has had a tremendous season for the Dolphins - being the highest-graded center in the league. He is also expected to leave the team this off-season, with him set to become a free agent while the Dolphins have key free agents to resign.
Tagovailoa and defensive tackle Christian Wilkins will likely receive top of the market deals this off-season, with Miami now needing to rally to continue in their Super Bowl hopes this year.
Miami are just one game behind the Baltimore Ravens in first place, who now look to be the favorites alongside the San Francisco 49ers to make it to the Super Bowl. But protecting Tagovailoa is key, and Hill's field-stretching pace is game-changing so the injuries could hardly come in worst positions.
